Accuride standard slides are designed to be fixed to the application by two methods, screws and bayonets.
Screw fixing provides a secure and simple method of attaching the slides, both into wood and steel panels, and the majority of standard slides are available with holes pre-drilled for screws. Generally, the slides are designed with access slots through the slide members to aid assembly. This means that the holes for the screws are accessible when the slides are in the open or closed positions.
Some slides are designed for bayonet fixing, where hooks, formed from the members, are used to attach the slides to steel panels. This method of fixing is often used to increase the efficiency of manufacturing, especially with higher volume manufacturing, but also for applications that require removal of the slides during use. Bayonet fixings can also be used in wooden cabinets with the use of a ladder strip accessory.
