Determining the mounting configuration in the cabinet
There are two possible configurations for the brackets: side mount and bottom mount. The difference is the orientation of the screws connecting the slide or bracket to the cabinet. If one wants to mount the slides to a horizontal surface on the cabinet as well, an additional set brackets is required.

Determining the required bracket types
Depending on the length of the slide, one or more brackets are required to achieve the desired stability. The tables in the datasheets of the slides indicate the part numbers and their quantity.

Side-mounting
For example, if one wanted to side-mount a 9308-0040-E slide, one needs 1x DZ63412 and 1x DZ63422
The brackets are attached to the inner member, which then looks like this:
The outer member is directly screwed into the cabinet.
Bottom-mounting
To bottom-mount the same slide, one needs 3x DZ63412 and 1x DZ63422.
The inner member has the same configuration as it does for side mounting.
The outer member will need brackets as well.
Further information
All the tables are available in the 634xx bracket datasheet.
